When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up as a church admin, we also collect your church name, location, denomination, and stream URLs you provide. We collect information about the churches you follow and services you watch. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences such as dark or light mode.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve Commune, send you account-related emails such as signup confirmation and password resets, personalize your browse experience based on churches you follow, and communicate service updates. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Streaming
Commune embeds streams from YouTube and Facebook. When you watch a stream, those platforms may collect data about your viewing according to their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for their data practices. We encourage you to review YouTube's and Facebook's privacy policies.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You may update or delete your account at any time by contacting us. You may request a copy of your personal data. If you are a resident of California or the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under applicable law.
Children's Privacy
Commune is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
